Celebs Inspire: Back-to-work chic look!

Uche Jombo. Monalisa Chinda. Tiwa Savage. Elizabeth Aisien. Karen Igho

We’ve got mail!

Hi Fans&Celebs, I just got promoted at work! It’s the best New Year’s gift I could ever ask for. I am so excited about it! But I have a feeling my wardrobe isn’t exactly what it should be and only last week my immediate boss confirmed my fears. In her words: “Dupe you need to add some colour to your work look”. I am now a senior client service executive at an Ad agency. Let me add here that I love dresses! What style suggestions can I get please? Help a sister! – Modupe Asaolu

Hey Modupe! Congrats on the promotion! We got a few celeb inspired look (please see pictures above) to help you through the week!

***

Monday: Try Uche Jombo’s corporate look. Your boss is right, you work in a semi-formal environment so take advantage of that, play with colours! Throw a scarf stylishly around your neck; give it some definition for that smart/contemporary look.

Tuesday: Monalisa Chinda wears a powerful tint of blue. It’s a colour that will get the right attention. It is made in a smart wear that sits perfectly. No matter your size, the look is a good one. Try it.

Wednesday: Aha! Be as bright as the sun! Yellow is a very optimistic colour! We love the cut on Tiwa. The belt adds dash to the entire look.

Thursday: A more mature look but still very smart, chic and appropriate. Build a wardrobe with some matching items just so you can play around however you wish. Elizabeth Aisien achieves the influential look.

Friday: Go African but stay smart and elegant like Karen.

Note: invest in classic accessories – bags, shoes, jewellery. It is wise to buy quality accessories as they say a lot more than what you wear.

What do y’all think? Do share your own style work tips!

I really like Elizabeth's look. I also work in a semi-formal environment and I don't like really fitted clothes, so dresses that sit like Elizabeth's is just right for me. - Ibiba
