| Wana Udobang. Toolz. Tosyn Bucknor. Toke Makinwa. Kayhla |
The cerebral Wana Udobang of InspirationFM! The amazing Toolz of BeatFM! The chirpy Tosyn
Bucknor of TopFM! The phenomenal Toke Makinwa of RhythmFM! And the cheeky Kayla of CoolFM! Our week days are
never complete without a good measure of these great voices on our radio! What
do you think? We ask the Fans…
***
Wunmi: I love
Wana. I love how real she gets on radio. She is just so confident as a person;
there’s no pretence to her presentation and her opinion on many issues are
always on point. I love how well-rounded she is intellectually. She can take up
any topic and deal with it intelligently.
Samuel: Tosyn
Bucknor is just a machine! To go on for hours with that much energy is just
amazing! I love her show and I find myself losing my breath on her behalf
wondering how she is able to go on and on with so much drive. She’s amazing!
Onyeka: Toolz
had to be here! She is the best thing on radio. Everyone listens to Toolz –
everyone! If they say they don’t they are lying! I think her winning quality is
the fact that she is just herself, very well-behaved even on radio and still
able to tackle issues with tact, like a real lady. This is her moment in time
and she’s using it wisely.
Tunde: Hate or
love Toke, you must appreciate the fact that the girl's hustle is genuine and commendable. Toke doesn’t only think it (like most of us do), she Lives it! She
will dust herself up and go get what she wants. That’s how to live life. She’s
one of those people who always sees the glass as half full, never half empty! Such
optimism will continue to put her in the spotlight!
Julius: I wouldn’t
say I like Kaylah. I think she’s a tad too rude and unladylike, BUT she is able
to work with someone as perplexing as Freeze, and she holds her own on that
show. You have to give it to her. She’s building her brand faster than others
who have been there longer.
Davis: Wana will
put any question on the table. She doesn’t seem too impressed by people – and I
think that is a virtue. It helps her to be in control of her show and deal with
issues properly. She’s an inspiration.
Fifi: It
takes a lot to be so popular in such a short time and be able to still hold it
all together like Toolz has. I know a lot of people who had just a moment of
what she has now and were unable to handle with. Toolz is grounded, she is
talented. You can’t take that away from her. And God knows she is blessed in
every way, you can see with your own eyes her transition and success. I can’t
even hate on her.
Dele: I love
Tosyn. Her show is just a burst of verve! There’s no one quite like her on
radio. Kaylah, no! I don’t understand the hype just yet.
Obianuju: Toke
is living her dreams one fabulous dress at a time, one radio show at a time,
one ingenious idea at a time. I just saw her VHS promo…she’s alright! I like
her.

hmmm....well, its a good list but there are still others who are doing just as good. I like ur style of blogging :)
I don't know what kaylah is doing on this list. she's as rude as they come mschewwwww!!!
Wana is special. she knows how to speak to the Nigerian audience.
i have said it before and i will say it again; my dream evening is to go see a stage production of Wole (Laspapi) with Wana and Redi Thlabi(an OAP outside naija), have a dinner somewhere unpretentious with both ladies and finish it off with a good bottle of wine and plenty gist with these two women i adore. I told my six year old daughter that if you must have role models (outside her dad and mom), you can't go wrong with that aunty called Wana Wana. Even from afar you can tell that you are getting the real deal. Even with all her foreign education, there is no insecure accent that depicts phoniness. As coarse as her voice often sounds, you feel privileged hearing her because she talks sense all the time. Very intelligent woman who is not afraid of exploring frontiers, exploring her very many God given talent, confident in her huge frame (i'm such a sucker for such women!!), never takes her self too serious and as a refreshing change does not try to market her feminine goodies like some other OAPs that must not be named.
Wana Wana, take a bow. Your best days are yet to come and when it comes some of us will still be here to celebrate you and remind the world that we recognized you from the very beginning.
